The history of the JSC “Ural Power Engineering Construction Company” begins with the first days of World War 2. Resolution of the Soviet of People's Commissars of the USSR established a trust for electrification of plants and factories evacuated to the Ural from western regions of the country.

Specialists of the trust were constantly accumulating experience of executing large-scale projects both in the USSR and abroad. They took part in design, construction and erection of power installations in most severe climatic and geological conditions (broad rivers, permafrost, seismic conditions, karst, hot and humid climate, deserts).
